The other option is the night time portrait mode usually looks like a person against a black background and a star above. What this mode does is slows the shutter down and then fires the flash. If you are just shooting the sky then the flash should not affect it much. hope this helps. If you need any more help let me know.
cheersFish Whispererhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11577269037750291388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26545423.post-29636399093131552352008-07-07T02:15:00.000-07:002008-07-07T02:15:00.000-07:00It's very hard to capture accurate colours when yo...It's very hard to capture accurate colours when you have such contrast in the subject - the dark of the trees plus the brilliance of the sun equals 'difficult subject'!

I'm not an expert, but .. Try exposure compensation, even the little compact digitals have it these days. You need to go down a stop or two (towards the 'minus' end of the scale). This will make the landscape almost black, but that actually makes a better picture. If you have Photoshop, you could try reducing the light levels in that and see if you like it.

Good luck!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26545423.post-22263368809501908292008-07-04T17:59:00.000-07:002008-07-04T17:59:00.000-07:00No one is grading you!
