How interesting! Reminded me of my sister and I having to sit on the back of the plow when Dad would work the big field for corn, for added weight. Hadn't thought of that in years! Thanks for the memory...
Happy New year!! My great grandfather had something similar to that sitting on his property. It had a hayrake attached, my Mom took the spines from the hayrake and made a planter out of it :)
When I was a little nipper, my grandfather was still using farming equipment of that vintage. I have memories of riding on a planter that had a seat similar to that one.
