Second night of a disappointing photo but at least it is a lot better than the first posting of the sun. At least this you can see some color and it looks like the sun was cut in half.Sorry this photo is blurry not sure what happend there.
I am not sure what setting i had this one on, but it does not look all that pretty like the rest.
As it was disappearing
And then it was gone
It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
ReplyDeleteWe were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!
Luckily I don’t have to sail the big oceans on a small ship to sea the wonders of our world …
No Sir, I just need to check with Mr. Tom, the finest host there is, for a trip around the world with SKY WATCH TOURS and with a click here, a click there I am quickly in the USA, England, Brazil, Italy, China, Australia, Finland … well, everywhere.
And on each stop I come to see a little marvel of our world under a great sky!
Hope you can come and see my piece of the sky at lenses & visions
As I said, they may not be the must of the must but they are great!
These are very nice sky watch shots! a lovely sunset!
ReplyDeleteMy Sky Watch Friday posts
I think this is going to be the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on.
ReplyDeleteI really admire your photography skills and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

I could give my own opinion with your topic that is not boring for me.
ReplyDeleteThis topic have a tendency to become boring but with your creativeness its great.
ReplyDeleteStunning Sky Watch pictures with a fantastic sun!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting how the sun appears 'cut' by a cloud? Also liked the images in the post below!I admire your determination in shooting that perfect photograph you're looking for :)
ReplyDeleteThe eye can see what the camera cannot record.
ReplyDeleteThank you for being a part of this weeks Sky Watch.. I and other really appreciate your posting...
ReplyDeleteThank you
Tom
Hi Lilli

Tom
Fun sky watch sweetie!! Pretty!!hughugs
ReplyDeleteI know it's not exactly the way YOU viewed it with the naked eye but it's still very very beautiful... I have the same problem with my camera. I think I have to invest in a better camera and/or invest in a program such as Photoshop to help aid in making the photos "pop" out much brighter and dramatic... that is what many folks out there do.... but as I said before... these photos still look amazing just the way they are!

I like how it appears to be sliced in half! I suppose a cloud got in front of it?
ReplyDeleteYou were there for it, Lilli! These are really nice. God bless!
ReplyDeleteLilli: Sometimes we as photo artist take what we get, those are some great Skies.
ReplyDeleteHuh - another german Expat! Colors are not that bad at all!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th and Cheers, Klaus

ReplyDeleteI like these shots Lilli. I like how the sun is cut in half...
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th to you.
the sun takes on the look of another planet!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors fo your pictures. This sun cut in half is very unusual for who knows look at the Nature. I love #2 with 2 different colors in the both half! Surreal!
ReplyDeleteThanks to share with us Lilly.
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog!
ReplyDeleteAs far as cameras and camera settings are concerned, I am a firm believer that it is worth experimenting with the settings, even with the cheapest digital cameras. Try, try again, thankfully all it takes is your time and patience, to find out the best settings for various light siuations.
Good luck! :-)
And yes, I do like the pictures the way they turned out, great potential, keep up the good work!
I rather like the line through the moon.
ReplyDeleteIt's still beautiful, the whole set of images. Such pretty colours.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of how life is. We sometimes see it one way, but when we want to share it with another, it can be interpreted as completely different. Your camera did the interpreting for you.
ReplyDeleteIn my experience of shooting into the sun you have to manually set your camera. It has a hard time adjusting to the harsh light versus dark, kind of like our eyes. It's best to take all auto controls off and adjust; with digital you can see the effects while changing the aperture and shutter speed.
Happy 4th and skywatch Friday!
No boring shot. Beautiful sky.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful series, I like the second photo specially!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, each photo with different color.
ReplyDeleteThe secnd photo is the best! True, sometimes you look at something and it really is so beautiful, but when your camera captures it, turns to seomthing other than what you expected....
ReplyDeleteHappy skywatching!
Great sky watch post!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are NOT disappointing! Maybe they arent exactly what you hoped to get but they are wonderful
ReplyDelete:-Daryl
But that's great! It must have taken a lot of time to take this series of the setting sun, the result is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's not disappointing I still like the blurry effect of the 1st shot. HAve a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteI think they are beautiful Lilli! And the ones from the prior day also!!
ReplyDeleteHello! I love all the photos. I think that blurry pictures add a little more drama to a shot. Good job. Lisa
ReplyDeleteI love the second one!
ReplyDeleteI like how it looks split.
Hope you're having a wonderful holiday.
I like these photos - the colors are so interesting, especially in the first two and the clouds in the last are just lovely.

ReplyDeleteHi.. thanks for your comments... the one about the green grass and the sunshine made me giggle as when I read and s I write this it is throwing it down and thunders is banging.. ha! now thats the English weather for you ;o)
ReplyDeleteGreat sky watch :)
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful pix! That's unusual to have the sun cut in half like that. And the purpley pink is gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteI liked the colors and the split sun. I feel your pain, but there has been some comfort in that a few of the "mistakes" yielded an unexpected treasure.
ReplyDeleteSo even though it may not have been what you initially intended, your post was still great fun and definitely worth the visit. :-)
The colours often disappoint when you take them, as the camera doesn't see exactly what you see.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't see your sunset, only your photos - and to us they are beautiful. Keep posting things like this.
