Bend Making International news twice this month

Wow, i would of never guessed that our little town of 75,250 population could be so popular.
To start with there is this

Pregnant man in Bend gives birth to healthy girl

Yes you read that right, how many bloggers out there read about this?

And then this past weekend we had this,

Helium Balloons Carry Man in Lawn Chair 193 Miles

  8. I only heard a lead in about the first but nothing on the second her in Nashville, TN. I did not care to continue watching the news to hear about the pg guy but if the lead in had been about balloon ride, I would have probably watched. Peace

  13. Yes, both were on the news here in Vancouver. The PG guy was really a woman who wants to be a man. The balloon/chair guy was nuts and an adventurer. I don't think either will be remembered as being from Bend in a few years.

  18. Hi, here in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, I saw the one about the pregnant man, but not the balloons. I thought of you as i read it, after all it is not every day that Bend, Oregon finds its way into our local newspaper!

We I can tell you I heard both these stories, Sky News ran with then both... if I'mnot listening to music when blog I have Sky News on during the day.. my 18 son thought the balloon chap was a hero... if he comes home with ballons today I'll know why.. I have heard of someone who is a bit weird as "Being Round The Bend".. ha! now I know where that bend is..;O)

  22. The guy with the lawn chairs cracks "Louis" up!
    That hole in the cloud is quite geometric - it looks like a hexagon. "Louis", being a Packard nut, was reminded by this of Packard's use of the hexagon as one of their emblems.

    Today, "Louis et Mme. la Vache celebrate their first anniversary
