Old home stead

    I have read some reports (most notably to me National Geographic about the flight from the countryside in the US. It is happening all over the world, but it is sad never the less.

    I love old barns and houses. Great capture of these.

    What kind of tree is that closest to the fence on the bottom picture? The trunk is interesting.

    Oh, the chickens on my blog belong to my neighbor and they furnish us with fresh eggs.

    When I see old forgotten buildings such as housed a family I do feel a sadness. The old walls would have echoed to all the fun and laughter.. and like most family's it would have known their sad times as well. To be able to touch those boards and gleam their knowledge would be a wonderous thing...
