Today they put the 3 sides up for the Sonic's Drive Inn, I don't know we thought it was going to be so much bigger, like a sit down restaurant as well but it is small but tall. They put the sides together laying down and then the crane picked it up and carried it to the foundation
Here is the second section that went up
And here is the 3rd, sure goes up fast once they get it all done on the ground
Here they are still digging up parking lot, we think this is were the entrance is going to be, but not sure. They also have to do the side walks yet. So who knows what they will be doing next.

You'll be eating at sonic's in no time! great shots.
How very interesting, we have what you call pre-fabricated flats and before we knew it buildings were built just like this.
Hmmm...I can see that you are enjoying the ice-cream now ;)
I guess the hard part is the interior construction. I guess it will be your regular hangout when it opens?
How interesting, Lilli. Looks like they could be open soon. The process seems to go so quickly.
That's a quick building technique!
Coming up quickly. It will be nice to have something so close to home.
I like your account of the days goings-on Lilli.Looks like you spent the whole day there shooting.
Seems like I get a sense of excitement from you over the new drive-in!!Mmmmm onion rings.
From the comments above, I assume Sonics is a restaurant.... I don't think we have this in Canada.
Fast food?
Drive in?
Hope yopu don't get bothered by noisy diners at midnight.
This is sure a strange way of building for me to see.. I'm used to bricks and mortor. We do see some building having a second wall on the outside being made of wood. It is certainly interesting to see this.
I miss Sonic. We get the mouth watering commercials for it in Chicago, but no Sonic.
Sonic's are drive up with car side or drive thru places. Some have tables outside....good burgers.
We had a Sonic open about 13 miles north of us in a neighboring town about a month ago.It got so much business that the employees had to direct traffic. The times we have been by it seems like all of the parking spaces are taken. My grandson wants to eat there but we will wait till the crowds die down and the weather is a little warmer. It's a nice place to go on a warm summer evening.I love their Diet Cherry Limeade. We have another Sonic about 20 miles south of us so this new Sonic is a little closer.
this is really interesting, watching it from the very beginning. I'm already looking forward to the next series of photos.
