One of our trips we did in 2006 was to Banneck National Park in Montana. One thing that Nevada and i love to do is look at ghost towns, so finding this ghost town was great. I will be posting more photos of this town. Inside the homesteads which most are not furnished. But need lots of work which i understand they are trying to refurbish all the buildings in time. If one of your summer trips include a trip to Yellowstone take a side trip and come see this fabulous place.

I love this series of photos. This sure is a case of 'if only those walls could talk.'
The hotel has a beautiful structure and designs but it need a good renovation. I bet it looked very lovely once it is renovated.
OhMy..lol..if walls could talk!!! Great pictures Girl!!!hughugs
Looks like a great place to visit. Looking forward to more pictures.
It sure looks abandoned....
Great shots. :)
Can you imagine being in there at night? :)
Incredible. Love it. Especially that old stove.
Wouldn't it be great to own a place like this...but one without ghosts...
Great shots! Wish I had known about this place last time I was in Yellowstone. Ghost towns, old abandoned buildings, while sad that they're like that I find them facinating.
What Rose said -- what stories the walls could tell!
I bet it is creepy at night....people can just walk in for viewing? Very interesting indeed.
What a majestic old hotel. Bet it was grand in it's day.
I would love love LOVE to have been there, too. This type of photography is totally up my alley. Love old buildings, love the character of them all worn and used. Thanks for sharing!
I hope someone (like my friend Chloe who restored a hotel and made it their new home in CA) renovates that place and stays true to the time period it was built. I love the staircase. I wish I had money to do a renovation like what is needed for it. Will you go back one day to see it if they do?
I would love to see a ghost town.. I would have to look in all the buildings and try to imagine what stories they hold.. the hotel is stunning and what history it holds.
My mind races at the thought of this. Would you spend the night there now? ha!
WOW! Great pictures! LOVE all them!
PS: I will return soon to appreciate this post and others. Just now we have a big rain and I must turn off the PC.
Those are some very nice pics.....
