I took these on 6-18-08 Click on photos for better viewing

I was in the house when i looked out the window to see that almost the same formation was still there but now with color, and i also thought these 3 little clouds looked a lot like flying saucers

Those cloud formations are really unusual - I'm not sure I've seen any like that!

Happy SWF! We had the sky up there, all speckled with stars, and we used to lay on our backs and look up at them, and discuss about whether they was made or only just happened... mine's up too hope you can drop by.

Your first image is a very nice starburst, Lili. I am always concerned that I wont get the contrast of the rest of the image right.

This is so cool! The clouds do indeed look like little flying saucers.

Oh, excellent altocumulus lenticularis pics! Those clouds travel very slowly and there is usually quite clear air with no other clouds. It´s good to follow them a long time as the forms might change to quite odd and interesting.

LOVE your pictures. It amazes me that you can take a picture directly into the sun and still have a great photo! Discovered that myself when I was up in the Lake Champlain area visiting a friend. Thought I'd just try it - and it worked! I was amazed.

Thank you so very much for stopping by to see me - you can't know how much I appreciate that!

SWF - it's the best!
