What Stories could this farm tell?
We have driven past this area several times when we go to Prinville or Culver Or, and i have always wanted to stop and take photos of this old farm, and finally we got the chance to stop, It would be so interesting to know who lived there and what life was like back in the old days when it was all new. This is one fabulous view isn't it.

I love these types of photos. You actually went inside? How brave you are! I wonder what was/is in that jug.
Thank you for your comment about the locks. I agree with you that only if the locks can speak they would tell us some quite interesting stories.
It would be nice is walls could talk and the tales would be most interesting. The lone light blub above the door indicates electricity but I saw no evidence of electric poles. The plastic bucket on the porch is much out of place but I see the rafters have been repaired on the porch. The blue of the water in the first photo is a stark contrast to the dry dusty fields. I love the big mountain in the distance. Peace
That's a gorgeous view! Did ya'll jump the fence? The pictures are great and yes I wonder what happened. It's kind of sad.

This saddens me. Inevitably I am reminded of our own place on Inishfree falling into disrepair - after all the hard work to make it sound.
I have got to get Carl over there to Prinville! I get him to shuffle thru Bend, he hates it there. He loves LaPine. I like Heppner, he doesn't. He likes K. Falls. I don't. We are shopping for a new place to live out of the valley rains. We didn't stop at the Underground place in Pendleton, or the ghost town either. Carl wants to go back and so do I. We both like LaGrande. :)
These shots of a used up ranch are great. I think it looks like they still run cattle there? Barbed fence, hay stacks, etc.
Now here is story to tell - well captured. Take some time out for writing it.
These are some of my fav photos of yours! I love photos of abandoned buildings, because as you said, imagine the stories those walls could tell. Such an amazing view, too.
