I guess this really isn't a flower but since i have never seen or heard of it i thought it worth sharing.
This was the root of it.

The closer we get to winter, the harder it's getting to come up with flower shots. Great improv (and photos) with the prickly rhubarb!
I don't know this plant but it looks interesting. I would not be surprised to find a Goblin under the leaves :)
I've never heard of it. Is it edible?
Strange and wild(?)and impressive for sure!
That looks like a giant root!!!
Great post!!
Great photos. Very interesting rootball. I have memories growing up, of those very large leaves in our family garden and eating sticks of fresh cut rhubarb dipped in sugar.
Quite an odd root it has. Does it have a special use?
Enjoy your week and thanks for your comment.
Lilli: My, that root is just monsterous.
Lovely foliage, the way the edges of the leaves how all those little angles. Can you eat this, like rhubarb?
do tell more about this, quite interesting
nice flowers...beautiful
Interesting,do you grow it for the leaf shape or is there also some edible part to it?
Cool stuff. What do you use it for? The root is colorful.
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing this with us.

Interesting! the root is kind of scarey looking thu:)
Nice shots!
Mine is up too, HERE. If you get a chance;) Happy TF!~
I wonder if that's the same kind that's used to make the delicious pie.
We have several rhubarb plants. Very nice shots.
Never heard of prickly rhubarb until now. Mom used to grow rhubarb in the garden but that doesn't look the same. I liked the 2nd shot best -- interesting shot.
Hi Lilli,
No, not the same rhubarb we eat and make pies with. It is grown for its foliage which can get quite huge. And...it does flower in late spring and early summer.
So, you did just fine for Today's Flowers!
That root is quite huge.
The root is odd, nice post.
Yes! I was very interesting to share, creativity is also part of the Flowers. thank you for participation.

Good sharing. Carletta knows it!
I grow rhubarb but not this kind! I have never heard of this type either. I don't think it looks good to eat!
Thanks for your visit to my Today's Flower! I am so sorry to be so late in visiting yours! It has been a hectic weekend with company who have just left today.
Interesting post -- I think I may have seen something similar up here.
Thanks for sharing the beauty in obscure places :O)
Lilli
