As some of you might remember i have posted about my 23 yr old Cat Named TC, She is our oldest cat and now has been in kidney failure now for awhile, we are into the IV's and now the doggie pampers, I am feeding her with a syringe as she doesn't really want to eat.
How do you convince someone to let them go? Hubby is not ready to do it yet. But it is time, she is down to 3 lbs. If you wouldn't mind say a little prayer for her and for hubby.
And here is the other problem that i have,as you know i am also a volunteer now for CRAFT and this is the momma and babies they brought me the other night. Things are not well with her either, she has not ate or drank since she has come here. I am also force feeding her, and she is also on a IV now. Yesterday as i was cleaning her pen, i noticed this reddish yuck, turns out to be some of the after birth. I took her to the vet and that is what they said it was, the other problem with her is i noticed that she really had no milk in her titties, at least not much. So luckily i had started to bottle feed the babies the day after she got here. Well anyway the vet gave her a shot to hopefully produce some milk, well so far not good, Still can't see much of a milk titty. How do you convince someone to let them go? Hubby is not ready to do it yet. But it is time, she is down to 3 lbs. If you wouldn't mind say a little prayer for her and for hubby.
She is such a sweety but still very leary of anyone. She loves for me to rub her tummy. One of the girls from Craft came over last night and set her up with the IV and came again today to do more plus add some vitamin K to hopefully help out more. Poor thing just lays there letting babies try to nurse, she loves to have the blanket on top her, i forgot to add the photo of that, it is so cute. If she doesn't perk up soon she will have to go to the vet again and run some more tests, as she may have an infection from the birth. So for now i have been busy taking care of sick/dying/new born cats
So here is Princess having to check out the baby kitty, i know she would be real happy to lick this little one and do all that needs to be done to make babies go potty but not to upset momma cat we don't let her do that. Momma cat is in a quiete place in the laundry room so that she doesn't have to contend with all the other nosy cats.

Oh Lilli! Poor babies, all of you!
prayers for TC and hubby, and ones to keep you strong to take care of the others. hugs, Judi
The kitty and its mom are adorable and I hope that TC will go peacefully. It's so hard to let go of a loved pet, especially one that has been with you for so long.
Aww Lilli my heart goes out to you. It is so hard to watch our babies grow old. Maybe your vet could talk to your husband?
I'm thinking of you, it's so hard to cope with the decline and death of a beloved pet. I'm sure you've given her the best possible life though. I'm impressed with your dedicated care of your animals.
I have something for you at my blog!
What a rough time you're having, right now. Good luck and God Bless.
It's hard to let them go, but when they're ready, they tell you, and not eating is one of the ways. A gentle path into death is the last gift that we can give a beloved companion, and I've always thought it best to do it before they get to the point that their life is nothing but suffering.
As for Momma, I suspect that you know a lot of the tricks for coaxing cats to eat, but my preferred method is buying the smelliest canned cat food that I can (any fish usually works) and heating it up just a bit. Adding garlic sometimes helps, too.
Best of luck!
Oh my gosh!! 23 years old!! Wow!! I have a dog that's nearing the end and I'm having the same problem with my husband, he just won't let go. I'll be thinking about your little furbabies, all of them.

It's so hard to let an old pet go to its reward. We were so sad to euthanize our 14 year old lab a couple of years ago, but she was in pain uch of the time and it seemed kinder to let her move on to doggie heaven.
Hope your mommy cat and kittens do okay. I know they have excellent human care.
Poor TC and hubby. My hubs was never able to make the decision to let his dog go. It can be such a hard choice.
Hope mom and babies perk up though.

My mother would love you for all you do for animals. She's an animal lover too. Sad about the cat.
Oh, poor old cat, there is a time to say goodbye and I think the time is now.
Lilli: Stay strong during this final time, you need to know when to let go.
Oh my, you certainly have a busy day, caring for all of the helpless kitties. I pray all goes well.
Oh Lilli, your poor old kitty, and poor hubby! I hope she goes peacefully without pain.

This is so precious. I'm sure you are pampering her as only a 23 year deserves.
O may... how sad to read about TC and your hubby. It is so hard to let go of a beloved one, my prayers are with all of you. I hope that TC will go in peace when the time comes. May be it was destiny that this cute kitten arrived at these crucial moments... I love seeing Princess' great attention and hope that Momma cat will be okay soon. Bless you and your family :)
This is really sad to see a pet go. I had a difficult period an year back.
It is sad to read your post, but thank you with interlacing it with some cute photos. It's unfortunate that pets don't live as long as us. The only comfort in letting go is knowing your baby is no longer suffering.
bless you , do you have a heating pad onlow -would comfort your elderly kitty, I guess not if she's leaking.Does she still walk and eat..Sandyyou gave her a wonderful life..
you have so much to handle, my thoughts go out to all of you
I'm so sorry about TC. I know whatever decision you and hubby make will be hard.
I hope the mama cat and her babies can be saved. My heart just aches over animals that are in trouble.
It's so hard to let our fur friends go when they get old. My heart goes out to both of you.
Cute photos of your younger critters.
Hugs and blessings,
What compassion you demonstrate! Ü I love those little white kittens! Hope mama is doing better real soon.
You really have alot to deal with at the moment. They are all lucky to have someone care so deeply for them.
Poor things! It sounds like you are taking very good care of all of them. I pray they all improve and that you can let TC go soon.
Oh Lilli! A 23 year old cat...wow! You are a busy lady. You are a critter's angel indeed! Dealing with your own older kitty is difficult enough and to add new kittens and a sick momma on top of all that....yikes...makes me tired just writing about it. I wish I lived closer to give you a hand. Good luck, dear lady.
