At first my reaction was kinda sad BUT then I looked again at the first photos and wondered what kind of creatures lived amongst the branches; what kind of perch the second one makes for birds; and the last one I am wondering if someone will be walking under it when it falls. . .

There is a beauty even in bare roots.
Thank you for your extra nice comment today! To make cornbread I just mix self rising corn meal and buttermilk. Even tho I was born and raised in the south I was grown before I liked corn bread.

Interesting how some trees roots grow above ground. Wonder if there is a reason for this. Beautiful pictures. I love the water scene.

Great photos!

Amazing how trees will adapt, and grow most anywhere.

That middle image is superb, Lilli. I LOVE roots and find little sermons in them all the time! :)

It never ceases to amaze me how strong roots are and how trees can grow almost anywhere there's enough water - even if they have dig through rock to find it.

Hugs,
Holly

Kinda like looking into their souls. I'm glad my "bare roots" don't show!
LOL!! Since I quit dying my hair I don't have roots to show!

Thanks for visiting my site.
Your RV looks very similar to ours. We belong to a Good Sam Chapter and go RVing with them frequently. One of our favorite places to go is the Colorado mountains - very beautiful. Enjoy your camping this summer!

3 great tree pictures, I come across fallen and trees which have roots exposed by land falls.. most repair themselves and live.. it makes for interesting shapes. and the roots house many birds and bees.

Great pictures - I love taking pictures of nature. Thanks for stopping by to visit my snowman seeking Easter eggs. I checked out your blog and will be back. We have a lot in common - including loving to read Dean Koontz.

Looks like it's still winter over there with all the bare roots. Nice shots. :)

I like Bend. Been there several times. My brother is just about to graduate from University of Oregon at Eugene with his Masters this summer. I'm looking forward to the visit.

Although I've heard from others a motorhome is a great way to travel. :)

Bare roots but surely there is more rootedness down, down, down.

You asked about the recipe for the dish I fixed night before last. I marinated pork loin chops in 3 Tbsp catsut/ 1 1/2 T lite soy sauce/2 tsp honey. Then browned them in a little canola oil. Set them aside, simmered the onion/apple and cabbage. Added about 3 Tablespoons orange juice to the reserved marinade and then simmered it with the veggies for a little bit, put the chops back in the pan to heat it all together and then we ate. Hope you like it; it's so easy.
