Once upon a time there was this great and fantastic group of people who blogged and photographed … with a click, click here, a snap, snap there, all of them had a week to look upon the sky … day and night, by dusk or dawn, sunrise or sunset … and always there where great and fantastic photos to be seen when SKY WATCH was opened …
I am one of those proud sky watchers and I really enjoy each and every one of the photos you show us. I really think you are a first class sky watcher!
LOVE the hole in the clouds. I am forever taking pictures of holes in the clouds. But they don't always turn out like they looked ih the first place. Good shots!
"holy" moley -- definitely unique! Love that hole in the clouds -- even the wires running across it give it character.
BTW, go look at Dot's white sun and you will never again worry about it turning out white for you again. Both of you have spectacular sunsets with white suns!
Must be months since last time I visited your blog. and this time I came in through the TomTom Motel site. My TomTom is a GPS. The hole in the sky must be the jet breaking the sound wall. Beautiful! We read about the transgender man some times ago, and are happy she got a healthy girl. The world is great out there and tomorrow I will go to Singapore in my post Have a nice weekend
I love the high contrast in those cloud photos! You must be quick to catch those jets... I usually have trouble getting the camera out of the bag and powered up to catch stuff like that.
Thanks for your visit to my SkyWatch Friday post, Lilli & Nevada.
I'm on the road and in the field doing another photo trip chasing the bloom of our Rosebay Rhododendron (white blossoms) in the northern area of the Southern Appalachian mountains, and with lodging that does not have the most reliable internet service. I won't be home again for a few more days yet, but I did finally develop and upload a few images to update my July 7 Rhododendron post.
Sunrise this morning was a washout, literally, with locally heavy thunderstorms--looks like the rain won't ease up until later morning so I'm going to breakfast soon. But I wanted to try and get around to all who visited my SWF, and others too while I still have good internet access. So, please forgive this cut & paste with a small bit of personalization added--I do appreciate your visit and your comments.
Yup, that's a genuine hole in the clouds of your SWF. Interesting how different layers can line up to give optical effects, isn't it?
Wonderful shots .. I left the office early on Fri for a doctor appt and then when I got home I got involved in .. well .. life .. LOL .. I always love your sky watch photo sorry it took me so long to get here!
We own a small motel that we bought in 1994 and have worked at successfully, but along with everything that has gone on with the economy we no longer run it as a motel. Plus were getting old, so just do monthly's now.
Please leave a comment as i would love to hear from you.

I love that hole in the clouds...with the dark ones surrounding it, it's like an entrance into heaven.

Amazing bright blue in your sky! Quite a contrast to my winter worlds and moody skies with bursts of light!

Maybe the jet made the hole in the clouds.
I didnt see those items on the news here, the pregnant man sounds like it should be in National Inquirer
I like the last one the best but they are all good.
Good skies - hope they stay calm for you.
I'm late getting around.
