Today's Flower

If you would like to join
Visit Luiz to sign Mr. Linky and see more flowers from around the world.

I took these at the Shore Acres Garden on our coast trip. According to one of the gentlemen there, he said these are all patented roses. They were pruning all the flowers back when we got there.

Patented roses? How special!
They are both very beautiful :)

The yellow ones look almost like wildflowers, the way they are standing there in the grass. Lovely.

These are really pretty. I can't prune anything because I feel like I'm going to kill it and it won't grow back. That's probably why my plants really don't grow as nicely as these roses will.

Nice roses, the red one looks like 'Sevilleana'. All commercially available roses are patented.

Nice to see some colorful flowers still in bloom.

I can hardly grow anything but hair, so the art of pruning is way beyond me - roses like these I have to buy!

I think to patent means a new variety named -- probably a crossbreed. That;s how they get their names. Nice to see roses this late. We will probably have roses until the snow falls.

Lillli: That is a nice yellow rose. Pruning is the only way to keep the roses putting out new buds.

Hi, wonderful roses, I love them when they have a wonderful scent. Lots of roses sold in flowershops have no scent at all, they look great but are like a beautiful person without a soul!
