It always amazes me when i see Lava Formations, and you see beautiful flowers like these. I don't know what they are called but they are pretty.Makes you wonder what these plants live on as there is not much dirt or water.
You can see a lot of sage brush in the canyons of this lava flow
Beautiful yellow flowers again i have no idea what they are called but seem to do very well in those craters.

It is amazing the lovely flowers could live and seemingly survive. The land looks so dry and barren.

Those are beautiful wildflowers. It seems that the most vivid and colorful wildflowers often grow in the harshest of environments.

Interesting to find such lovely flowers in the lava rock.
Your pink flowers are Dianthus, commonly calles 'Pinks'. They certainly are very hardy plants.
It is always thrilling to see the beginnings of vegetation on a newly formed layer of the earth's crust.

Doesn't your yellow flowers look similar to mine? May be Auckland with all the volcanoes is similar to Nevada.
Thanks for visiting.
