Camera Critters/Capital Reef NP

So we can't leave Princess out of the trip so here she is, doesn't she look like she is having a good time?

We never expected to see any deer but here we had a few jump in front of us, hard to see as i wasn't really prepared with the camera.
Beautiful rock formations
Well Brooster finally got big enough to put her in a hammock . Kittens love these in there cages, they have more fun in those. Isn't she a cutie?

Camera Critters/Road Congestion?

Day 2 Diamond Craters
As we left the round barn we stopped to see the Diamond Craters, Alice was much better today and riding like a trooper also had a few things to say about being able to ride on my lap instead of the dreaded cage.

Nevada standing on top of one of the Craters looking down, i had thongs on and so the walking on that lava was not all that appealing. Please go to the link above and read about this crater.
So in the distance we saw what looked like smoke but as we got closer it was a roundup, the lazy mans way of rounding up cattle. I think it would of been much funner to use a horse to round the cattle up.
So for 3 or 4 miles we had to drive behind these critters while they made there way to better pasture.

Camera Critters

I know this isn't a real horse but i did want to share him as i think the person that did him was magnificent. Today was the Sisters Quilt Show and i decided that it was time to visit again, although i don't quilt, i do like looking. And i have to say what a show it was. I will be posting more about the quilt show on my other blog.
I thought i would share the newest photos of Shelby who i decided to bring back to the house. She is looking so much better and is coming out more and more and enjoying the freedom of being able to roam in the office and the laundry room

Here is little Freckles, boy for a little tyke he has the spunk of thinking he is the ruler of the house and the cats. I can't put him with any other kittens because he will beat them up, he is so tough. I will hold him and he will be all cuddly and the next thing i know he is slapping me with his paws or trying to bite me. But he is so darn cute when he is so fiesty. It will be awhile before he will be up for adoption.

camera critters/ yellow mellow monday

Click on the side bar and join others from around the world for there camera critters and yellow mellow monday
Going to combine camera critters and yellow mellow monday this week.
Boy it has been a hectic week for me and the kitties, last weekend i preadopted all nine kittens so they all have homes to go too when they are ready to be altered, I think they all will have a wonderful life with there new owners. i know i will miss them when they go. But also releaved, at this age they really are a lot of fun but also a lot more work, keeping them clean and there bedding clean, there at the age were the transition of feeding real food and formula is a bit of a messy situation most times. Lots of cat box cleaning several times a day. I find i don't have the computer time i used to have, my apologies to those i didn't get to visit last time.
The cattery wants them to be at least 2 lbs before they can be fixed so they have a couple more weeks to go. I think they weigh about a 1 1/2 lbs now. So here is little Milo which his forever parents named him, he is so cute and well as you can see so relaxed and comfortable here. His little brother is identical to him accept a bit smaller.
So then last week we got these little guys coming for a visit, we had just started up the waterfall and i started luring the ducks to the pond so that they could get water, well never really thinking that they would get in it, but here they are having a nice bath. well love the wild life BUT i forgot that they also leave you nice squishy yucks on the ground and in the pond. Not good when one wants to sit in the yard and enjoy it.Oh well i guess it can be cleaned up, another job that will need to be done.
Ok so the yellow is the beaks of the ducks

Camera Critters/3 adoptions today

Please click on side bar and join Misty and others for more great photos of critters

Well this weekend we had 3 adoptions, Both of Shelby's girls was adopted out by some very nice people. Francie on the left was named that by her new parents. Once they are ready to go Francie will be a traveler in a motor home so she will have lots of new places to explore so that will be fun for her, i know all our cats love to travel.
And then there is Lilli Rose, that is what her new momma wanted to name her. She has other cats as well and also is a pet sitter so she has found a good place to be as well. Her momma said that she wanted to name her a flower name and mine was name was pretty and so she dubbed me her godmother. I was honored.
So then today Sammy's little girl got adopted as well and by golly her new mom and daughter wanted to name her Lilli as well. The daughters name is Rose so again it may be another Lilli Rose. I think they also like the spelling of my name. Again i am honored to have 2 beauties named after me. So it will be a few more weeks before they are ready to go to there forever home. I know they will be loved and cared for. Sure will miss them when they do go. That will be the hardest part of doing this volunteering of caring for babies.

Camera Critters

I thought this was such a cute photo of Pumpkin which he is called at the present time till he goes to his forever home .
And this is the ducks that have been hanging around at the end of the motel, well they moved to the side yard, so had to throw them some more bread, i just love it when wildlife comes to visit me in the middle of town.
And Misty asked to see the bull's eye on Tom Tom he has the same marking on the other side. This is also the outside cat house that Nevada has been building, last weekend we found a sliding glass door for the bedroom and cut out the wall to put it in so the cats can go outside and enjoy the sunshine whenever it gets here.

When Tom Tom came into our family he always seemed to be the one that was so lovlable, he walked through the door and said here i am move over, all the cats just took to him never a hiss or a sqauk which is sort of unusual for cats. He has this circle around both sides of his belly that i was told they are called Bulls Eye tabby's maybe one day i can get that circle so i can post a photo here.

Now this was a surprise as i have had the geese coming but never ducks, nice to see them
I couldn't of got a better photo of the two of these, they posed so well don't you think?

Camera Critters/ New Babies

Click on the side bar and join others for there cute critters from around the world
Todays Flower is posted below this

As i posted last week i said i was going to add photos of the new babies that were brought to me last week, so here are the 4 cuties that i have.
As some of you may have read, we lost our 23 yr old TC on Friday, I want to thank all that left there condolences. After i got back home from the vets with having to deal with her, i came home to one of the black babies laying totally still, she was not doing well at all. It scared the heck out of me as she was fine when i left. To make a long story short, when CRAFT was contacted about these kitties they had no idea how long the babies had been without food and there momma as she was run over. The people didn't know how to raise baby kittens..... so they gave them cold milk, also they didn't know that you have to wipe there little bottoms to make them potty. Well we weren't sure what the problem was, but she also ended up having a convulsion, so i gave her Karo syrup to get some sugar in her system. All i kept thinking is i can't loose two cats in one day. Anyway baby kittens can dehydrate very quickly, so i gave her sugar water every 30 minutes just to keep the fluids in her. Laurel came by and brought me different milk as we also thought maybe the can dry food may be tainted as it was a milk product, and the gal that had brought it to feed Sammy's babies had it for a while. Anyway we both didn't think she would make it thru the night. But as i continued to feed every 30 minutes i went back out to feed at 2 am and by golly that little girl was sitting up and giving me the water for and wanting food.I could not believe that she made it, what a little fighter she was. She also is the smallest of them all, which is why she was effected first, as now the others have taken there turn in being sick although now we sort of know what to treat, so they are on antibiotics hopefully will get better. Boy they sure have gone through a rough time. And i was in real need of some sleep last night. This little orange cat was the second to come down with it. But last night she finally came around and wanted to eat.

Camera Critters/Update on fostering

Please click on side bar and join others for some great animals from around the world

I want to thank everyone for there kind words and prayers for our 23 yr old TC, remarkably she is still eating, walking and drinking, although i do feed her out of a syringe in between what she eats and drinks. She is holding her own. For awhile she wouldn't eat on her own,but she tries when she smells the food, always was big on people food and i guess she says she isn't ready to give that up yet. What a fighter she is.
Also i don't know if you have heard on the news about a blind Cat Named Cougar who took in babies that she is helping to raise. Anyway Lisa is a RV Friend of mine who has the babies go check out her blog and see this beautiful cat and kittens and keep track or there growth. Cougar's Blog

Well I thought I would update you all from my kitty family.
Here is a recent photo of Avery the baby that Momma Cat had this winter who brought them to me from below zero temps this Dec. Yes i have not been able to find her a home, she will now live with us. Isn't she a beautiful?

And here is Boo Boo, she is the one i had decided to keep from the beginning she is still very very small, she loves to sit here on my lap and watch me type to ya all, she loves to put her paws on the screen. Boy does she mess my puter up at times.
Now for my Volunteering for CRAFT the no kill shelter. Here is a update on Shelby if you were here last week for CC you can check out her story, a quick recape on her, she was not eating had these two beautiful babies actually 3 but the owner of the cat had taken it to the Humane Society but it died,Anyway Shelby just had these babies a few days before she was captured and brought to me, she would not eat or drink. I force fed her and force water to her, Pediolyte mostley and she did get a the IV fluids for a couple of days. Well i am happy to say that Shelby finally this Wednesday started eating and drinking on her own, I am so happy with her progress. And even tho she doesn't have much milk babies are doing just great along with my bottle feeding them. And also yesterday they started to open there eyes. Babies are going to be adorable. Now if i can get her to be not so skittish when i try to get her to move....

So in the meantime one of the other foster homes had what they believe to be either Shelby's sister or could be her mother, anyway she gave birth to 3 babies while in there care. But again she too would not eat, she was failing and also same thing not much milk, so they were bottle feeding the babies as well. But the lady works all day and with these babies they need to be fed more on a regular basis, and with momma cat not in good health and not eating she needed to be force fed. So i volunteered to take her and the babies in till they all get on there feet. So please meet
Sammie and her 3 babies.
She is not eating and is much more difficult to force feed then Shelby was. But we are making progress, i just got her on Thurs. And feeding her about every 2 to 3 hours, mostly concentrating on the fluids and then food. They brought me a big cage and so i can keep the babies separated a bit easier so momma can get a bigger break in between the feedings. They are taking the bottle pretty good now, so that will help momma a lot.
