Couple of yrs ago we went to Tombstone Az. Always wanted to go, so here are a few photos and links for those that like Old Ghost Towns and want to know more about the legendary
Dr Holliday Wyatte EarpTombstone Courthouse State Historic Park, located in
Tombstone, Arizona, United States, preserves the original Cochise County courthouse. The two-story building, constructed in 1882 in the Victorian style, is laid out in the shape of a cross and once contained various county offices, including those of the sheriff, recorder, treasurer, and the Board of Supervisors as well as courtrooms and a jail. Inside, the courthouse contains a museum with numerous artifacts from the town’s history while outside, a replica gallows has been constructed in the courtyard to mark the spot where seven men were hanged for various crimes. The park was one of the first to be designated as a state park and in 1959 was the first to open following the 1957 establishment of the Arizona State Parks Board.

Don't you love the fasade on the buildings? We have a lot of wonderful decorative buildings here in downtown Vancouver. I have never been to Tombstone but traveled in other parts f Arizona a long time ago with my parents and little sister.
Well, I wondered about Tombstone myself. Thanks for the photos. The other places I wondered about are Area 51 and Route 66.

Sorry I missed you on Wednesday, but I've been ill most of the week. Still it meant I caught up with you at the weekend instead :)
Hope you had a good one!
The West sure does know how to make the most of every idea of itself! You bring that lost time and place to life, Lilli!
