My first Foster Momma

So this is Shelby, which we have named, as she didn't seem to come with a name.
Last night i got a call from Laurel from CRAFT Asking me if i would take this momma cat and 2 babies. This woman who had her didn't inner act with the cats,so she acts a bit like a feral cat
, I understand that there was 3 kittens and one of the kittens went to the Humane Society that they are trying to get back, so momma can take care of it as well.

The woman is moving out of state and she was just going to leave the cats there and let them fend for themselves. I guess the place reeked of cat odor. Even when they brought her here you could smell the urine , very disgusting.

I don't do cat urine smell very well. People that come to my home have no clue just how many cats i do have, and when i tell them they are so surprised that they smell no cat odor. Am i bragging about this? Yes, I pride myself in having a urine free smell in my home. The key is the right cat litter, along with daily cleaning.

So i will be updated you here about this beautiful little Siamese cat, I don't think she is full blooded but does have beautiful blue eyes.

I will never understand the concept of having animals and not interacting with them. Good for you to take the cats.

That is one lucky momma cat to be taken in by you, Lilli! Even though I clean litter boxes EVERY DAY, I've had some kitties along the way who like to leave their mark in places they should not. Fortunately, there are lots of good enzyme cleaners out there now.

Hi Lilli, that is so nice of you! I can't wait to see Shelby's kittens. Two thumbs up for no urine smell. I visited some relatives and the odor was kind of unbearable. The cats still adorable though. Best wishes :)

You're a champion for all that you do for cats in need.

Thanks for the visit to my cc post for last weekend. I'm missing Fred, and hope he is OK.

Not sure what happens over there, but I found out that if you own a pet that you can no longer care for, the shelter will take it at a cost. But if you take in a stray, there's no cost. I think that may contribute to owners dumping them or leaving them behind when they move. $ can be the reason they can not keep the cat and therefore they don't have $ to take it to the shelter.

Not really an excuse in my mind. But it is an explaination.

The 2 cats we have are both rescued. I'd take in more if I could.

What a beautiful feline. How could someone just up and leave her and her kittens? But at least it now means she has a good home with you. Well done for rescuing them. :)

She is a lovely cat I am sorry she was neglected by her previous owner. I wanted to thank you for stopping by my new Kat blog. No I didn't ring his neck I really wanted to though.I see that Maggie had mentioned the enzyme cleaners and wanted to know if you know of any that will get rid of the odor? I have tried everything to get it out of the mattress.

That is one thing I will never understand and excuse, when people do not take care of their animals. To take on an animal is a commitment for life to look after it, give it love and companianship. I am happy for this beautiful cat and her kittens to have been rescued.
