Water Tower, Water Fountains

Last week on our way to the park with our grandson Cody, we were driving through town and I noticed the water tower which I have never noticed before, Dot is the one that brought up water towers , so it is amazing how you start looking for those things that you never pay attention too.
And then there was another person and I am sorry I don't remember who had water fountains, So here is a empty water fountain. And do you see that Bench with the man sitting there? Enlarge the photo.

Yrs ago when I first seen this I thought there was a real man sitting there

I am laughing at the fish. Cute picture.

The man sitting on the bench looks like an old timer. The I realized....he is not real. Interesting yet I bet it could be scary.

Love the man on the bench -- I recently posted a man on a bench with a little girl bringing him flowers. When we were doing fountains, I posted some but forgot about the salmon run fountains at the base of our bell tower until I saw your salmon going upstream on yours. That water tower wasn't very noticeable. I am glad I was able to walk right n the street ours was on and get some great sky shots of it.

BTW, where is this bench of yours?

That statue is amazing. Dublin, Ireland,is full of such figures that blend in with the environment. They are wonderful and whimsical.

I like your water tower photo. Dot has me looking for them, too. I always amazed by the ones in New York City. I marvel at the roofs that can hold them up.

Water towers always make me look up in NYC, and the bench man looks like our statue of the poet Fernando Pessoa sitting outdoor «Cafe Brasileira». But the waterless fountain is most stunning of them all... ;)
Also loved to see the skies, and Mr. Hassler's works!
Thanks for your comments at Blogtrotter, where I'm still around Santorini!
Have a great weekend!

I thought it was a human as well before enlarging the picture.
Imagine someone sitting down next to him and turning around wanting to ask for directions! :P lol

ahhh.... the man's not real! :)
Wonder why they choose a man, not a woman or a kid. Any story behind it?

I liked all of your shots. The statue of the man would have fooled me too. I have been noticing water towers lately lately myself.

nice shots!

I just had a thought about that man.. I mean, I'm sure a lot of new people who must passed by that place must have wondered why that man has been sitting and waiting there for a long time (without knowing that it's not real) ;)

Those fishes look like they need some water. Interesting place to have a statue. Perhaps real people can sit there and admire their new shoes.

Fun pictures! I also like taking pics of water towers. Did you know that in NYC, almost all the skyscrapers have their own water tower on top of the building?
