Thanksgiving recipe to share

Well its almost that time of yr again, so i was thinking about what we are going to do for the holidays. It has been so long that i have made a dinner. Now that my son is living here and he will have the kids, so i need to be thinking about what to fix for dinner.
So what do you all have for dinner ? Do you have turkey , ham, or?

I got this recipe the other day that i thought i would try:

native american cranberry cornbread
Ingredients 1 cup unbleached white flour,
1-1/3 cups yellow cornmeal,
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt,
1/2 cup dried cranberries,
2 large eggs, or egg replacer
1/4 cup honey
1 cup plain soy or nonfat milk
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
Cooking spray
Instructions Preheat oven to 400 degrees and lightly spray an 8-inch square baking pan. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. Stir in cranberries and set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, honey, and oil. Add to dry ingredients and mix just until blended.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until top is lightly browned and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30 minutes.

Yum!! This recipe sounds good! :)
We usually always had turkey, cornbread dressing, turkey dressing, oyster dressing, potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, and cranberries for Thanksgiving. Quite the feast!!

The recipe does sound good. Our Thanksgiving meal usually consists of turkey, cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce, green beans, potato salad, pickled peaches and a few other added dishes not to mention the desserts, desserts, desserts. Then we are miserable from our gluttony.

great this is just what I've been waiting for... as we don't 'do' thankgiving over here I have looked forward to the post about it. I was kindly giving a link to read up on the tradition and why its upheld, now that I know that lets get down to the food.. I've heard cornbread mentioned many many times on the TV and in films.. so you can imagine how glad to see this recipe.. keep them coming please.

thanks for this lilli, my daughter is allergic to gluten and dairy, if we modify this by using rice flour to replace the wheat flour, this could be a winner!
Like Tom, we don't have thanksgiving, but i do have a nice recipe for using up all the leftover turkey, I'll look it up and post it soon.

We may go to a restaurant and eat but whatever we do it will not be Thanksgiving without turkey and cornbread dressing.
