Changing laundry room

Well we have decided to take the motel off the market for now, and since we did , Nevada has decided that things need to change in the laundry room, So him and son Jan started to tear down the walls , we have this little cubby hole that really served no purpose accept to throw stuff in that we weren't using. So he tore out the wall, Many yrs ago it was a restroom, don't know why they stopped using it but all the plumbing is still there accept of course the sink and the toilet.
So here is the wall that he took out and the beams also came out.
And here it is all open with no shelves in there and no wall, yesterday they got it all patched up, so now they have decided to move the washer and dryer there. So of course a small project has turned into something a little bit bigger. And more time consuming. Not saying that we don't have many other things to do before the weather gets so much colder. Will keep posting the new progress as they go, Oh yeh and they also had to replace the floor . Which they will have to do as they move things around.

It looks like everything is going well in the project!

When you're in Livermore again, we should meet and have tea or coffee. That would be fun! Now that would be something to blog about! :)

Welcome back I hope you had a nice vacation. I know how a simple project can turn into more. Ours started as a new light fixture in one of the bathrooms, and now has turned into repainting both bathrooms, and new counter tops in both, and a new sink in one, oh and lets not forget refinishing the vanities in both. Oh I almost forgot replacing the shower doors with shower curtains and refinishing the tubs. This started two weeks ago and I still haven't got the light fixture that started the whole thing put in yet. Oh well it is going to be great when it is all done and it beats starring at the tv. Hope your project goes well.

Looks like Nevada and his son have everything under control. It must be nice to have a handy husband. I looked back over your vacation pix....you did a good job of showing us around.

That looks like a lot of work, to renovate the laundry room, and to knock down some walls, but I'm sure it will be worth it. Sometimes the laundry rooms in motels leave a lot to be desired, so I think all your motel guests will appreciate the work you are putting into it! There's nothing like a nice clean modern laundry room to do your wash in.
BTW I have posted pics of The Wedding, we had a wonderful time.

That's often how those projects end up, Lilli--more work than you expect. But after they're done, you wonder why you didn't do it sooner. :)
