Heading to Coulee Dam

Good morning to all, this is what Smiley looked like last night as he was sound asleep and something woke him up that didn't set well with him . Just had to throw this photo in.

Park Overview
Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park is a 4,027-acre camping park with 73,640 feet of freshwater shoreline at the foot of Dry Falls. Dry Falls is one of the great geological wonders of North America. Carved by ice-age floods that long ago disappeared, the former waterfall is now a stark cliff, 400 feet high and 3.5 miles wide. In its heyday, the waterfall was ten times the size of Niagara Falls. Today it overlooks a desert oasis filled with lakes and abundant wildlife.

Located seven miles southwest of Coulee City, Wash..

From eastbound I-90:
Take exit #151 to SR 283. Go through Ephrata, and continue on to Soap Lake. Turn north on Hwy. 17, and continue 17 miles to park.

From U.S. Hwy. 2:
Take Hwy. 17 south for five miles, just two miles west of Coulee City.

This is the Gerke Windmill Garden
Emile Gehrke (1884-1979), lived in Electric City, a city in central Washington near Grand Coulee
dam. He built whimsical windmills and other folk art and decorated his back yard with the stuff.
After his death, most of the devices were moved to this fenced-in display on the main highway
in Electric City.
The park there was very nice, and if you click on this photo they have a time capsule that will be opend the yr 2076 should be interesting to see what is in it. wonder if we will be alive then, doubt it.

I tend to look like your cat, too, when I am awakened from sleep. lol. ;) I don't do mornings very well and I definitely hate being awakened before I decide to get up!

I'm wondering how you keep the kitty cat from running off.
That state park is amazing and to think the falls used to be bigger than Niagra!
I like folk artists. They come up with some unusual stuff.

Dry falls is a cool place I have been there many times. Now that the weather is cooler I would like to take Ranger there and do some hiking as I have never hiked around that area. I hope you are having a wonderful time.
